Injury Report:

Notes/Analysis:

  • FINAL: 8-5 NYY
    • WP: Hamilton (1-0) 4.61
    • LP: Vargas (1-3) 4.05
    • SV: Weaver (4)
  • Record: 25-18

  • Will Warren's Final Line:
    • 5.0 IP | 3 H | 2R | 2 ER | 9 K | 2 BB | 92 P | 4.61 ERA
      • Warren pitched well today. He executed his pitches well, but got screwed out of two runs from his defense (the ruling was later changed to a base hit, making the runs earned, even though that play needs to be made).
  • The Yankees did not get much off Castillo today. They had some hard hit balls, but a lot of them were either outs or were base runners stranded. They only got 1 run, a Dominguez double, scoring Volpe with two outs off Castillo.
  • Goldschmidt would come off the bench and lead off the eighth inning with a game-tying solo HR
  • Aaron James Judge then came up and sent a ball back to the Bronx, giving the Yankees the late lead.
  • The Bullpen in general was solid today:
  • Luke "Lukeiano Weavera" Weaver would come in and strike out the side to get the job done in the ninth.
