LOS ANGELES — The New York Yankees suffered their first blowout loss of the season in a lopsided defeat to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Little went right for the Yankees throughout the game.

Starter Will Warren struggled mightily against a relentless Dodgers lineup, allowing eight runs in just 1.1 innings pitched. The game was largely out of reach before the Yankees’ cleanup hitter even stepped to the plate. The offensive barrage continued, as Brent Headrick, Mark Leiter Jr., and Luke Weaver each allowed at least one run in relief.

Aaron Judge provided a rare bright spot, hitting two home runs—his first coming with the team trailing 10–0, and the second making the score 15–2. Outside of Judge’s contributions, the Yankees’ offense was largely silent throughout the contest.

It got to the point where Pablo Reyes would pitch, giving up more runs.

This marks the first series the Yankees have lost in nearly a month. Despite the defeat, they are guaranteed to finish their final West Coast trip of the season with a record above .500.
