Yanks drop the series in Cleveland
My Takeaways from Today's game:
Cleveland, OH — Things were going great until they weren’t for the Yankees in today’s game.
⚾️ Final Score 3-2 Guardians over the Yankees
WP: Bibee (2-2) 5.19
LP: Leiter Jr. (1-2) 3.48
SV: Smith (2)
📰 Warren pitched well overall, but his line was ruined in the 6th inning after back to back singles came around to score, and the Yankees gave up the lead in an eyeblink. A leadoff HR for Rice and a Sac Fly for Jazz scoring Judge in the sixth was all the Yankee offense.
📊 Record: 14-10
📉Streak: L2
🗓️ : Wednesday at Cleveland: LHP Carlos Rodon (2-3, 4.34) vs. RHP Luis Ortiz (2-2, 5.48)
Will Warren pitched well overall, the only damage came in the sixth inning when back-to-back singles from Kwan and Jones. Warren was then pulled and the game got out of hand, quick.

Mark Leiter Jr. comes in and strikes out J-Ram and then a passed ball scores Kwan from second, an infield single to Volpe and then a liner in front of Judge made it 3-2 Guardians in the sixth inning.
The Yankee offense only put up two runs, a first pitch homer from Rice and a sac fly off the bat of Chisholm in the sixth inning scoring Judge.
The Yankees had baserunners all game, but they either grounded into a DP or struck out with men on to leave them on base. The Volpe double play in the fourth inning after back-to-back walks to lead off the inning probably costed them a run or two. My question is why isnt Volpe bunting in that spot to get two runners in scoring position with one out?
Another sad showing offensively with Runners in Scoring position being stranded all day.
Chance to salvage the road trip tomorrow.
