Yanks drop the Series in Baltimore

Game Notes:
Injury Report:
- DJ LeMahieu will continue his rehab stint on Friday at SWB
- Jazz Chisholm Jr. will undergo an MRI tomorrow in NY. Jazz believes it's a day-to-day thing, but the Yankees want to be cautious.
First Inning:
- Goldschmidt flies out, Grisham singles, Judge sends one 426 to center, Rice strikes out, and Volpe lines out to short, hit very hard. 2-0 NYY

- Carrasco gets the start for the Yankees and he gives up a leadoff single to Mullins. He gets Henderson to ground out, then Adley reaches on an infield single, but Cookie gets O'Hearn and Lauriano swinging to retire the side.
Second Inning:
- Wells leads off the inning with a groundout to short, then Reyes flies out to left and Dominguez lines out to left, on a hard hit ball.
- Holliday singles to lead off the inning, then Mountcastle ties the game with a 2-run shot. Cookie gets a strikeout, then throws a cookie to Urias to make it a 3-2 game. Mullins flies out, Henderson singles, steals second, scores on a single by Adley, then O'Hearn flies out to end it.
Third Inning:
- Peraza and Goldschmidt both fly out, then Grisham walks, Judge intentionally walks, and Rice flies out to end the threat.
Fourth Inning:
- Volpe and Wells both fly out, Rayez walks and Dominguez with another HH groundout.
- Kjerstad lead off the inning with a single, then after a strikeout, stole second. Pablo Reyes came down on his head and Kjerstad did not take lightly to that and the benches cleared (shown below), honestly, so stupid. (shoutout to Volpe for the chirping). Tim Hill. comes in and retires the side on 4 pitches.

- Hill walks Adley and O'Hearn to lead off the fifth, then Volpe boots a potential double play ball to load the bases with no outs. Holliday then grounds out, but the run scores, making it 5-3 O's, but Cruz comes in and strikes out Montcastle on 3 pitches and gets Kjerstad on 1 pitch to fly out.
Sixth Inning:
- Rice leads off the inning by striking out, then Volpe singled, Wells singles, advancing Volpe to Third for Reyes who strikes out looking and Dominguez then stuck out, leaving runners on the corners.

Seventh Inning:
- Peraza leads off the inning with a walk for the top of the lineup, Goldi grounded out, but advanced Peraza to second, then Grisham who lines out to Lauriano (I thought it was getting down), but Peraza advanced to third, for Judge who jit an RBI single, cutting the lead to 5-4 O's, then Rice flies out to deep right, and I was fooled, I thought it was gone.

Eighth Inning:
- Volpe leads off with a walk, then Wells pops out to second, Bellinger pinch-hits for Reyes and strikes out, then Dominguez strikes out after being up 3-0 in the count. Yankees strand Volpe as the tying run.
- Leiter Jr. Strikes out Holliday, then Mountcastle lined out to Volpe , Kjerstad singles, Urias with an infield single, and Mullins strikes out to end the inning.
Ninth Inning:
- Peraza lead off the inning by popping out on the first pitch he sees, then Goldi grounds out and Grisham
NOTES:
- Volpe's Error costed them the game.
- Carrasco got burned by the long ball and had little location at time.
- The Yankees struggles with RISP continue as Judge was the only one who drove in a runner in scoring position, and that was Peraza on Third with a RBI single.
- It's unacceptable that the Yankees lost this series to this O's team, but with three real starters, and only one pitched in this 3-game set.
- Some of the AB's from Peraza, Reyes and Dominguez were pathetic, and costed the Yankees runs.
- And while we are on the topic, Pablo Reyes batting seventh? I mean what are we doing?
