Will Warren earns his first MLB win, as the Yankees even the series

Takeaways from today's game:

The Bronx, NY — The Yankees even the series with a strong performance from Warren and the offense doing their job.

⚾️ Final Score: 8-4 Yankees over the SF Giants

WP: Warren (1-0) 5.14

LP: Hicks (1-1) 5.87

📰 Will Warren had a solid outing, giving up 2 runs and striking out 6 over 5 innings of work. The Yankees started the scoring early on a Belli RBI Triple and a Goldi Sac Fly. The Yankees would put up 5 in the 5th after 3 straight singles from Rice, Judge and Belli (RBI), an RBI Double by Goldi, a Jazz Walk, a Volpe Sac Fly and a Dominguez 2RBI single. Rice would add on with a Solo Shot in the 6th. The Bullpen would hold it down, only allowing 2 unearned runs (caused by a Jazz E4) in the 6th inning. Williams got into some hot water, but looked dominant getting out of it.

📊 Record: 8-6

📈 Streak: W1

🗓️: Sunday vs. SF (LHP Carlos Rodón (1-2, 5.19) vs. RHP Logan Webb (1-0, 1.89))

Warren looked good today, only walking two batters and the only damage being a two-run HR off the bat of Wilmer Flores, but the Offense picked him up enough for him to get his first MLB win, so Congrats to Will and his Family.

The Yankee bullpen was solid today. They allowed a lot of baserunners, but only two unearned runs in the sixth inning of a Jazz Chisholm E4.

The ninth inning started off ruff for Devin Williams, allowing a walk and a double, but those runners would not move as the Airbender began to work, and he was able to close out the 8-4 victory, and showed some emotion in the process.

The offense took it from there, putting up 8 runs, 5 of them in the 5th inning, and got some contributions from up and down the lineup.

Ben Rice continues to show his power off, taking former Yankee Lou Trivino deep in the 6th inning.

Even his outs are loud these days.

The Yankees will send out Carlos Rodón tomorrow for the Rubber Game of the series, who is looking to show his value to the rotation.
