NEW YORK – The Yankees sent Carlos Rodon out to sweep the Rangers and win their 4th straight game.

Carlos Rodon has been phenomenal over his past few starts. When asked about Rodon, Manager Aaron Boone told the media:

"I tried to tell you this when he gave up the three-run homers and everyone was losing their mind. He's about to roll off a bunch in a row."

      • Rodon labored today, getting into a lot of deep counts, but he was able to give his team 6 scoreless innings allowing a bullpen that has been worked this week to only need 9 outs (3 relievers)
  • This game was a pitcher's duel from start to finish with both Eovaldi and Rodon giving their teams 6 strong innings, but the Yankees were able to get a run.
  • Jorbit Vivas hit his first Major League Homer to give the Yankees a 1-0 lead in the 5th inning.

"Well, it's definitely been fun so far. It's obviously nice to create the momentum and to kind of keep it, sustain it, and hope ride the wave as long as it goes."
