BREAKING - NY Giants draft Guard Marcus Mbow
Green Bay — The Giants are continuing their A+ draft by drafting Guard Marcus Mbow out of Purdue.
Across the last two seasons, Mbow has started 18 contests at right tackle. However, his arm length is less than ideal for an NFL guard, and even more so for a tackle.

The expectation is a move inside, a position where he played in 14 matchups at right guard for Purdue in 2022. Mbow displays exceptional reach. He's a capable pull blocker and demonstrates effectiveness leading on screen plays.
Mbow’s initial speed and agility also make him well-suited for offenses that heavily utilize zone blocking. He possesses the capacity to become a high-caliber pass protector at guard, and his strength allows him to hold his ground once he establishes a solid base.
Mbow delivers a powerful initial strike and utilizes his hands independently. While Mbow's footwork isn't always consistent, his overall movement skills are sufficient to regain balance when initially compromised.
It is important to note that some teams passed on Mbow due to medical concerns.
